A Whirl of Activity

Man, it seems like the AC has run all afternoon, and it appears that it needs to.  To be sure, in a month, or two, this will be a distant and happy memory...  yesterday was a beautiful day as well, though it was a shame I could not fully enjoy it.  It was good -- church, gym, then off to the Alumni picnic, where I was the assistant grillmaster.  It was fine -- helped with set up and take down too -- but a bit long and a bit warm.  At least I got to catch up on church gossip (of which there was much).  It was after 4 when we were done there, and then it was off to Edgewater to take Communion to my friend... her grandson, future granddaughter-in-law, and their pooches were on vacation, and thus we had plenty of time (as expected) to spill some tea.  But it was good for her and me, honestly...  Then home, a chat with my sister, and...catch up on stuff.  Phew!

Good article, and as I so often say, Mike Johnson does not get enough credit for what he does and what he has done...maybe it is the Holy Spirit, or maybe he is...more open and less... craven in his ambition, than, say, McCarthy.  But I am glad we have him.

I don't know...maybe they should have done it all at once?  Or not let all this crap happen in the first place?  I think this is what the average person/GOPer dislikes; we can't even do the basic stuff we want, and then it is the sea of excuses.  Say what you want about the Donald, stuff has gotten done, and if he has been in a hurry...well, I am glad for it.
