Mattie is Delinquent

A week between posts?  Oi.  An ignominious record, if that.  To be sure, this has been the busy season at work, and between the 12-hours days, and then the other stuff of life... ok, I played Pub Quiz last night (came in second, my sister asked if we were the Tampa Bay Rays), but... and yes, this is my 2,300th post, so it should be something special.

As for myself, the week has been hectic -- Saturday was OC duty -- I was in the back, packing, but it was fairly quiet.  Phew.  Sunday I caught up on some work and used my new and expensive vacuum again.  Had an SVDP Board meeting, talked to my Conferences, went through some of the raft of paperwork (I have to get a budget out), and in general just tried to stay caught up with stuff (poorly).  I have some cabbage but have been too busy to make halushki; this seems ridiculous, but given the prep involved...well, tomorrow is another day.  Hell, I am overdue for a culinary adventure and some other things.  I am tempted to attend my friend's Halloween fest this weekend, not that I am a Halloween guy (as a diabetic, it is superfluous to get candy devoured only by friends and parents), but just to get out of the house.  

One thing I need to do is to catch up on the accumulated episodes of J!, as I do not want to be watching election ads after the event.  I guess I do not watch much TV, so I am not as annoyed about them as others, but they are...fairly repetitive. I realize it would cost too much to run new ones every week, but I would think the law of diminishing returns has to apply at some stage.  But probably not.

This could be me, but it seems a....bad idea?  In a lot of ways?  On the other hand, it's a combination of ripping off the band-aid meeting Pandora's box, so at this stage of the game...

More seriously... Duke plays Monday.  Hard to believe the college hoops season is upon us...
