Moons Over My Hamas

The more I think of it, I think this electoral victory is not a good thing for them. While I doubt their aid packages will be fully cut, they will not be getting all they have been promised. This, of course, will impair their ability to pay salaries/bribe/buy bomb-making materials. Hamas, or is members, will strike against Israel. Even after Sharon, the Israelis are NOT going to take this laying down, which will entail precision strikes against Hamas and its leadership.

Israel will continue its wall-building, even moreso if attacks continue. It will become harder to attack Israel, while it will be easier to attack the infrastructure of terror there. Simply put, I don't think any Palestinian government will be able to bring peace or stability to the area, not until the Israelis slaughter several hundred more militants. And, with the reign of W, they will have carte blanche to do so.

The funny shit of the week is compliments of my friend Joe. Scroll down to the 1/23 post. Keep scrolling for informed musical commentary...

Aight, I'll go as the resident Zionist here on pretty much everything in the ME. Hamas is irrelevant. Hamas by any other name is well, Islamic Jihad (IJ), PFLP, Tanzim/Al-Aqsa, and Hizbullah. They all have different ideologies, or they did -- PFLP (commie)/Al-aqsa(PLO)/IJ/Hamas/Hizbullah(Iran/Muslim Brotherhood)-- but they have learned to share! Has anyone noticed that Hamas went on a truce for a month plus and IJ and Hizbullah took the stage. A revered Israeli diplomat (bonus points for who gets it) once said "Arabs have never missed an opportunity to miss and opportunity." Well, the Pal Islamic resistance movement, I'd say, is probably the most strategically astute Arabic/Islamic/Revolutionary/Terrorist
movement of our time with Al-Qaeda coming in a close second. Hamas has the EU emptying its piggy banks, Iranian gats sans frontiers, Fatah shaking in their boots, and massive public support. Problem: they didn't want it! They wanted to bitch in the background... strap it on and blow their wad. Despite the CNN/BBC crap you hear, Israelis are not afraid. Democracy is democracy but psychotic terrorists who march their kids out with toilet paper dynamite bombs get the IAF treatment. Oh, I forgot my main point, in my Zionist rage!!! Israel makes the rules. Peace negotiation, PTUH as Jews have always said. It didn't work under Meir, Begin, Rabin, Barak, and Sharon got it right. Read his autobiography. The man is not a thug- he is Kissinger with a brain and a dick and a lifetime of war. Unilateral withdrawl (I wish I hadn't mentioned dick in the previous sentence)... anyway. Israel will dictate its borders on its terms. Is it not obvious. Cry about it if you will but history majors, come on!!!
