Hoop Thoughts
I watched the SoCon Final, and it was incredibly entertaining. I would not exactly say that it was good basketball -- too many dumb TOs, and it seemed like people were trying not to win the game as much as possible -- but there were plenty of runs, momentum changes, crazy moments, and in short everything one should like about college basketball. This, followed by a couple of crazy moments in the HL semifinal...well, there you go. I mean, everyone is playing for just one more game... in the meantime, the Vikings look completely flummoxed by YSU, which does not exactly bode well for them. Odd that the TV people wouldn't put the #1 seed in the late game on national TV.

Interesting take. I don't know; I largely agree, but of course our nation -- and humanity -- did not get anywhere by sitting on their asses and being complacent. Of course, it's not like we have the money to spend on this stuff.

I went through some paperwork at the half of the first game, and I realized that I have more to do -- I mean, stuff to look through, handle, emails to reply to -- and I was like why I am doing this in the middle of March Madness? Then, of course, I was like "well, we are adults, and not everyone gives a shit about the economically unsustainable activity of undereducated idiots trying to put a ball of wind in a netted basket." I would not exactly say that I felt better, but I think I understood myself.
My blood sugar has been low all evening, which is not good, as my insistence on healthy snacks means it is a steady diet of granola bars and canned cranberries. Mind you, I like them both, but I can see why some people keep a stash of ice cream floating around, even though I do not, given my constant and losing battle against fatassery.
Is it me, or was the firing of Kevin Keatts a little...premature? Yes, missing the ACC Tournament in a down year is not good, but making the Final Four last year...I guess my question would be who do they think is out there who would be better?
